In the Hawaiian language, the word aʻo encapsulates the meaning of both teaching and learning. Teaching is something we give and learning is something we receive. Within this one word, aʻo, is the idea that we are always teaching and learning throughout life. Itʻs this philosophy that Aʻo Time is based on, and we passionately embrace this philosophy in not only our teaching, but our lives. Students soon discern if an educator is not fully invested in the philosophy that they are promoting. We, at Aʻo Time, have devised teaching strategies and relationship building techniques because we live them. To us, Aʻo Time is never done.
